What you can work on
Auditions and self-tapes
Find what matters in the scene. Make specific choices. Test them under direction. Work on sides, monologues, cold reads and commercial copy for film, television or theatre. For an imminent audition, include the deadline in your inquiry.
Scenes, characters and rehearsal
Turn analysis into action. Objectives, obstacles, relationships, urgency. Draw on the six tools to find a character’s voice, body and imaginative life. Work on the role you have, or the range your next role may demand.
Voice, singing and musical theatre
Breath, release, resonance and range. Spoken text, a song, improvisation through sound. Explore the relationship between voice, feeling and imagination through Roy Hart voice work and archetypal sound. Then bring the discoveries back to the lyric, the text and the person you address.
Body, movement and presence
A gesture changes the encounter. A rhythm reveals the character. Work with physical habits, sound, movement and the body’s part in telling the story.
Imagination, Archetype Work and creative blocks
Enter unfamiliar ways of moving, sounding and responding. Work through archetypes, improvisation, images or dreams you choose to bring. Personal Inventory brings attention to the habits and feelings affecting your work. Deep exploration and play belong together.
Speaking, interviews and leadership
Bring the speech, the presentation, the interview. Work on breath, pace, clarity and contact with the listener. Rehearse the moment when the pressure is real and your words matter.
Career questions and the business of performing
Bring the professional question that needs an answer. Examine your preparation, how you present your work, your outreach and your next practical move.
How a session can unfold
A song may lead into sound and movement, then return to the lyric. A scene may expose a vocal habit or a character question. Test a choice, notice what changes, try again. Learn to assess your work and rehearse independently.
You choose what you disclose and may pause or decline an exercise. This is acting and voice training, not psychotherapy or medical care.
